Statutory 90-Days Work Certificate Guide

Who Can Issue the 90-Days Certificate?

Under Maharashtra BOCW rules, the mandatory 90-days work certificate (९० दिवस काम केल्याचे प्रमाणपत्र) must be signed by one of the following competent authorities:

  • Registered Contractor / Developer: Builder or contractor registered with BOCW Board or PWD.
  • Architect / Structural Engineer: Registered professional overseeing the construction site.
  • Gramsevak / Village Development Officer: For rural workers working on village houses/MGNREGS.
  • Ward Officer / Municipal Corporation Officer: For urban municipal area construction workers.

Social Security & Death Compensation

Registered BOCW workers and their families are protected against workplace and natural calamities:

  • Accidental Death on/off site: ₹5,00,000 ex-gratia compensation to nominee.
  • Permanent 100% Disability: ₹2,00,000 financial rehabilitation relief.
  • Natural Demise: ₹2,00,000 assistance + ₹10,000 immediate funeral expenses.
  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY): Additional ₹2,00,000 subsidy grant for registered workers constructing own house.

National e-Shram UAN Card: Kendras also provide free nationwide e-Shram portal registration for unorganized workers, generating a permanent 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) with ₹2,00,000 PMSBY accidental cover.
